SEO: the good news, and the not so good news.
Getting up the Google rankings really works. For one recent PDC client it meant 10 times more business.
The not so good news.
It isn’t about stuffing your site with keywords and hoping. It’s a strategy, turned into website copy, emails, social posts, even how you answer the phone. In other words, building a brand.
Four pillars of strategy.
Understand your audience
Some customers are worth more than others. Who are they, what are their problems, what are they searching for? Answer those and SEO becomes a precise business tool.
Get your ducks in a row
Understanding your audience may mean revising the business plan. Short-term demands get in the way of long-term goals. We help you make sense of both.
Watch the competition
Their websites and rankings show your own strengths and weaknesses. They’ll be watching you too.
Content is king
A cliché, and annoyingly true. Search engines and people like content that’s useful, usable or delightful. Anything less is digital landfill.
Real story, real results.
Carwow worked out that people selling cars were also buying them.
As well as chasing transactional keywords like “car sales”, they went after questions like “are electric cars a good investment?”. They gave the site a Tripadvisor feel, with independent reviews, an MOT history checker and videos people want to watch.
The result: an authority score of 70, 1.9 million monthly organic visitors, half of all traffic from Google organic search, and 30% of that transactional.
What a tailored strategy does.
Increases visits to your website. Reaches people actively looking for what you offer. Grows your audience. Builds trust with the customers you already have.
